What is the MobileM@il Exchange Service?

This service allows SingTel Mobile Subscribers to use the Windows Mobile Email along with the local bundled data, customers will have ease of mind reading their exchange mail on their Handsets without worrying about data charges.

Also, with this service, PhoneSafe is bundled Free. You can know keep your emails and personal contacts secure. To know more about PhoneSafe, please visit www.singtel.com/phonesafe

What are the charges for the MobileM@il Exchange?

There is no registration fee for the service.

Subscription – The retail subscription for this service is as per price plans

Excess Data – If you use more than the local data bundle, you will be charged $ 0.01/2KB (min of $0.05/session)

Will I be charged Roaming Data when I am roaming overseas and use this service?

Yes, if you are roaming overseas and use this service, you will be charged for the roaming data charges. The roaming data used will not be taken from your local data bundle.

What will I see on my SingTel Mobile Bill?

You will see the following Description on your bill as well as the amount you need to pay.

Who is eligible to sign-up?

All SingTel Mobile 3G postpaid customers are eligible to use the MobileM@il Exchange service.

Do I need a supported handset?

Yes, you will require a supported handset for the application to work. Please go to supported models page to check out the list of handsets.

Do I need anything else to use this service?

As long as you have a supported handset, you will be able to use this service

Can I have a Broadband on Mobile Plan and still sign up for this service?

Yes, you can sign up for this plan if you are an existing Broadband on Mobile customer.

Which access point should I use for this service?

You can use either IDEAS INTERNET or IDEAS WAP in order to use this service.

Where can I use the MobileM@il service?

The service is available islandwide and you can use the service almost anywhere in Singapore. However, please note that your experience in the download speed is subjected to the device/equipment used and the network traffic at time of use.

At what speeds will I be downloading the emails?

The speed of download would depend on a few factors.

  1. 2G or 3G SIM card
  2. Device Dependent
  3. Network resources

The speed of download would be at the available speeds which is coherent with the above requirements.

Why can’t I experience the download speed of 7.2 Mbps even though I’m logged on to the 3.5G/HSDPA network successfully?

The download speed is subjected to the type of devices/equipment, data applications as well as the network traffic at time of access.

Can I sign up for this service if Im already subscribed to a Broadband on Mobile Plan?

If you are already on a BoradBand on Mobile VAS plan, you will still be able to subscribe to this service.

If you are a Broadband on Mobile Data SIM plan, you will NOT be able to sign up for this service.

Can I sign up for this service if I am subscribed to the PhoneSafe service?

Yes, if you are an existing PhoneSafe subscriber, you will be able to subscribe to this service, BUT you will not get the PhoneSafe service Free.
