It uses the global positioning system (GPS) to obtain the position and the Globalstar simplex data service to transmit the payload. SingTel AITrac enables a wide range of man to machine applications for tracking and remotely monitoring on fixed or mobile assets on a global basis, be it on land or sea. Overview
Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (SingTel) has tied up with Globalstar INC. to provide a remote simplex telemetry service.
The telemetry data is received from a Remote Telemetry Unit (RTU), example of a RTU would be the SPOT personal tracker and AXTracker. These data are received by the Globalstar satellite constellation and relayed to the Globalstar gateways which in turn routes them to SingTel Back Office (BOF)

AITrac is the brand name for the remote telemetry services offered by SingTel.The name comprises three parts which the following interpretation. AITrac effectively means Tracking Individuals or Assets.
