With SingTel AIO Connect Services, your crew will be spoilt for choice with the capabilities to simultaneously send secured and cost-effective emails, chat, SMS, read news, make voice calls and surf the Web. The solution’s prepaid messaging card and online portal make it so convenient for your crew to stay in touch with family and friends. Using just one integrated email account, crew mobility is enhanced as they continue to login to the same email account even when moving from one vessel to another.

Solution Overview The SingTel AIO Connect Services comprises of three solutions, namely DesktopConnect, ConnectPortal and Multi-VoIP Connect.

DesktopConnect: Unified Communications for Crew and Ship

A comprehensive unified communications platform for both crew and ship, DesktopConnect integrates instant messaging, email, Internet surfing, Voice-over-IP (VoIP) and voicemail in a single, integrated application. It features the latest compression technology aimed at optimising satellite voice and data communications.

DesktopConnect is made up of 4 components: MailConnect, WebConnect, WebChat and AIO Phone .

MailConnect: Provides both business mail for the ship and web mail for the crew. Comes integrated with a management utility that can perform a variety of management functions ranging from mailbox and email account creation, and alert and filter management.

WebConnect: Provides accelerated Internet surfing, while optimising satellite bandwidth by enabling the selective download of web images.

WebChat: Provides low cost two-way communication via real-time encoded instant text messaging.

AIO Phone: Full-featured VoIP softphone enabling seamless communication.

The ConnectPortal provides connectivity between incoming wide-area network (WAN) traffic and outgoing client devices such as the AIO Connect Console, notebook and wireless infrastructure devices. A compact device with three RJ45 Ethernet interfaces, it provides both restricted and unrestricted Internet access when plugged into a satellite or terrestrial Internet connection. With integrated capabilities to control access, it provides data monitoring and secured reporting of accounting data. The integrated firewall prevents unauthorised access, while bandwidth management capabilities help to optimise network performance.

ConnectPortal: Secured Access Control with Bandwidth Management and Usage Monitoring

The Multi-VoIP Connect is a ruggedised console that is configured to allow access to more simultaneous voice connections over standard IP networks. It uses an industry-leading proprietary codec, which encodes or decodes a digital data stream or signal, to deliver unrivalled voice efficiencies over satellite communications.
