Satellite-IP Technology
Satellite-IP is an IP Broadband Via Satellite Solution which receives packets of data, voice, video, multimedia and other content in the form of IP (Internet Protocol), and these are encapsulated into MPEG-2 transport stream to be subsequently multiplexed and modulated.

Concept of the Service
At SingTel's DVB-Hub in Bukit Timah Satellite Earth Station, packets of data, audio and video, are encapsulated from IP into a DVB stream before being simultaneously delivered by satellite to multiple sites in the region. The IP traffic enables users to easily offer, manage and deliver these various types of data, content and multimedia applications to their receiving audience at the remote sites.

SingTel Satellite-IP service is configured for satellite Single Channel Per Carrier (SCPC) return as well as terrestrial return paths depending on the nature of customers’ requirements and feasibility.
