Mail65 is an E-mail system for data communications using easily available programs including MS Outlook and Lotus Mail.
File Attachment Function:
allows documents to be transmitted as an attachment.
Data Compression:
this reduces satellite airtime and costs. Outgoing and incoming messages are automatically compressed when a connection is established between the mobile and our Mail Server.
Bi-directional Data Transfer:
Sending and receiving messages are done simultaneously, ensuring optimization of airtime usage.
Message Continuation From Point Of Drop:
Should the line drop midway during data transfer, our compression software ensures continuity of message from the point of drop at the next connection, eliminating unwanted repetition of message downloads.

Mail65 also gives users the flexibility to choose the messaging features they need by simply selecting the Special Access Codes (SAC) on their Inmarsat C terminals.

Chinese Messaging Service:
Mail65 also allows users to send and receive e-mail in both traditional and modern Chinese text.
Message Tracking:
Mail65 Message Tracking allows users to download sent/received message information (to and from Inm C mobiles) as and when required for the tracing of senders and traffic usage.
Send To Telex or Fax Number:
The mobile can include telex and / or fax destination in the email message (chose SAC 65 or SAC 6599).
Vessel Tracking Via Inmarsat C:
Mail65 users can track an entire fleet from a desktop PC with just one inexpensive poll. Mobile intervention is not required and the data report (PDR) of the mobiles’ position is retrievable within minutes.
Short Messaging Service (SMS):
Mail65 users can send SMS from their Inmarsat C terminals to GSM mobile phone subscribers all over the world. Please check with your local GSM operator to see if they are roaming partners of SingTel Mobile.
Paging:
Mail65 Paging allows messages to be sent from Inmarsat mobiles to ordinary terrestrial pagers (from Inmarsat C to SingTel alphanumeric pagers only). Shore users can remain in contact with mobile users without being tied to a computer, a key benefit. Example: shipping agents are free to move about while waiting for a message from a vessel at sea.
FleetNETSM:
The FleetNETSM feature enables users to broadcast messages from a desktop computer. One transmission is all it takes for the entire fleet of mobiles in one ocean region to receive the messages.

This is a Shore-to Inm C Web base E-mail Service which allows internet mail users registered with SingTel MSB's Inmarsat C Mail65 service to send e-mail from anywhere in the world to Inmarsat-C mobiles worldwide. Registered users now do not need to be in their offices or homes to log into the office LANs to send e-mails to the vessels.
