ConnectPlus ATM is designed from the ground up to support multimedia applications. In general, it is the service of choice if a customer demands multimedia support, high speed transport capability, network manageability and network accountability functions. It is able to meet point-to-point, point-to-multipoint as well as multipoint-to-multipoint connectivity needs.

For PVC, there are 2 classes offered. CBR and VBR-nrt. CBR is for constant delay applications e.g. voice and video while VBR-nrt is for bursty applications e.g. LAN data traffic.
Comparison of Frame Relay to ATM Technology
| Frame Relay | ATM | The frame packet size ranges from 0 to 4096 octets. Hence, FR has an advantage over ATM in its variable packet sizes. It can handle any packet size from X.25 from 128 or 256 bytes to Ethernet packet that are 1500 bytes. This makes them compatible with any data transmission.
| ConnectPlus ATM enable different types of Quality of Service. It allows for voice, video, data traffic to travel over the same medium. Its small cell (53 octet cell) makes it very well suited for real time traffic, and adequate for fast data transfer.
| It is more efficient than ATM due to overhead (especially at lower data rates).

Quality of Service (QoS) ATM technology is able to deliver QoS, the ability of a service to define jitter, delay, cell / packet loss ceilings, security and bandwidth on an application by application basis. We are able to strictly define how to route and treat the data being transmitted. The main goal of QoS is to allocate resources to users who have the highest priority.
