An Ethernet Virtual Private Network (or Ethernet VPN) is a secured and business quality Ethernet-based connectivity service that enables companies to deploy their network. With Ethernet technology already widely accepted in the Local Area Network (LAN) environment, enterprises are rapidly adopting MetroEthernet as their network of choice for the Metro-Area Network (MAN). This same acceptance of Ethernet technology is providing fuel to the growth of Ethernet VPN in the Wide Area Network (WAN). Adopting Ethernet service for their LAN, MAN and WAN makes sense as in-house expertise on such technology already exists, enhancing ease of network management.

By subscribing to the ConnectPlus Ethernet VPN, the customers are able to leverage on SingTel’s extensive regional network as well as our network operations centre.  This means lower costs and ease of handling their entire networking requirements through SingTel. In addition, customers retain control over their network routing.
