Intruder Alert

1. If my number is unlisted, what should I key in for my Telephone list?
For unlisted numbers, replace each number with *.
e.g. If your unlisted number is 2353535, enter 7 asterisks ******* instead of 2353535.

2. What should I do when I am notified of unidentified numbers?
When you are notified of unidentified numbers, do the following:

- First recall if you did dail-in to your account from your friend's or relative's home. If you did, you may want to add it in the Telephone list also if you will call from there often.

- If it is your child's account, check with them if they have called from other locations.

- If the unidentified numbers are strangers to you, we recommend that you change your password immediately for security reasons.

3. Do I always need to press the "Save Your Setting" button after I have added another number to the Telephone list?
Yes, you need to save your setting whenever new telephone numbers are added. However, if you have many numbers to add, you only need to click on the save button after the last entry.

4. My company uses PABX. What should I key in for the Telephone list?
: For PABX system, the switch board number will be captured as the Caller ID instead of the direct number from where you dail in. In this case, please refer to the options below for adding the Telephone number into the Telephone list:

- Go to the Connection Usage utility page and select Details to view the Caller ID captured. Add all the numbers into the Telephone list.
OR
- From the detail information, if the first 3 numbers of the switch board numbers all the same, you may just key in the first 3 numbers followed by 4 '*'.

e.g. Switch board number: 2353535, 2351234, 2356789. Just key in : 235****

5. Can I put the Telephone number that I used to dial-in for this month in the Identified List?
Yes, under Caller ID Captured, click on Select All or check the checkbox of the Telephone number you wish to be added and click on Add Caller ID Captured to Identified Telephone No. List.

6. Can I set my intruder alert to notify me at different email addresses?
Yes, just add in as many profiles as you like, key in the email addresses that you have and save the setting.

7. How often will I be notified?
The alert services will scan through your setting and dial-in caller ID every day and will notify you once a day. You will be notified if you are required to be alerted and there are new login sessions based on your last logout date/time of your last alert message. For example: Your dial-in number is 7878787. You have 2353535 as your Identified Telephone No.

You were notified that there was an Unidentified Telephone No. 7878787 and your last logout date/time was 11-Oct-1999 09:35:25.
You will be alerted on the next day when you login.

Usage Alert

1. Do I need to set my usage alert hours or value every month if it is the same?
No, the same setting will be in effect for every month. You do not need to set it every month if it is the same.

2. Can I set my usage alert to notify me at different usage hours or value for that month?
Yes, just add in as many profiles as you like, set the appropriate setting and save the setting.

3. How often will I be notified?
The alert services will scan through your setting and usage every day. You will be notified if you are required to be alerted and there are new login sessions based on your last logout date/time of your last alert message. For example: You have configured Usage Alert to notify you once you have 2 or less free usage hours left.

-You were notified that your free usage hours has less than 2 free usage hours left and your last logout date/time was 10-Oct-1999 08:30:35.

-You will be alerted on the next day when you login.

Notification Services: Intruder Alert, Usage Alert

1. Do I need to pay or subscribe to these alert notification services?
No, it is free. All singnet dialup subscribers will be able to use these new services without having to separately subscribe for them.

2. How do I disable my notification services?
Delete all profiles and save the setting.

3 How do I enable alert notification service and what is a profile?
When you add a new profile, the alert notification service is automatically enabled. A profile is a setting that tells the notification service when and who to contact if an alert is required.

4. What is the Reset button for?
The Reset button is used to retrive the setting that was last saved and discard any changes made that were not saved in your current session.

5. What are the Browser requirements?
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 / Netscape Communicator 4.0 or above is required. You need to enable Java Script and cookies.

6. Do I need to logout from the setting page after saving? If no logout require, will others be able to go back to the page and change my setting?
Yes, please click on Logout on the left panel to close the browser so as to prevent others from changing/viewing your setting.

7. What is the Login button on the left panel of the browser for?
It is for your convenience to login again with a different userid if you have more than one account. It also serves the purpose of preventing others to change/view your setting as login is required before you can go to any other pages.

8. Can I bookmark the site?
You should bookmark the Customer Service page instead. This is because you must first login before you can access the services
